Stanislav Kostov was born on June 5th 1978 in the city of Varna. There, in 1997 he graduates in the Forth Language School "Frederic Joliot-Curie" (“The French Language School”). In 2002 he receives Master on Law grade with the Law Faculty of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
Since 2000 Stanislav Kostov has a diploma in Protection of Fundamental Human Rights from the Interuniversity center of Human Rights. In 2004 he successfully passes training course on Teaching Methods in the Maastricht University, Netherlands.
His professional experience starts in 2002 with nine-months training in the Bulgarian Parliament, “Students at Parliament” Internship Program.
In 2002 Stanislav Kostov is appointed at Executive Agency “Maritime Administration”, where he works at the position of senior legal adviser until 2006.
In 2003 he was chosen for an assistant professor in European Law Sciences, Department of European Studies of the Faculty of Philosophy, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. In 2011 Stanislav Kostov acquires Ph.D. grade with subject of his dissertation “The Decisions of the Court of Justice of the European Union and Their Legal Effects”.
Since 2007 he is an attorney-at-law with Sofia BAR. In the period 2009-2010 he was a member of the Board of Managers of the French-Bulgarian Commercial Chamber. Since 2012 he is a member of the Methodological Center with the Supreme Bar Council.
Stanislav Kostov works in and is fluent in Bulgarian, French, English and Italian languages.
